Poly Pad Polar Rappas

Friday 9th February 2007

Product name: PolyPads® Polar RAPPAs© - the ultimate leg cooling therapy for horses

Size: One size fits all - 53 x 36cm
Colours: Available in navy with a black lining

Materials: Polycotton outer, quilted to a fibre core. Cotton rich towelling lining with integral pocket for the re-useable Polar ColdPak ™.

Washing/Care: Remove ColdPak™ prior to washing. The ColdPak™ is NOT machine washable and must be wiped clean with a damp cloth. To machine or hand wash the PolyPads® wrap, first loosely close the hook & loop fastening and wash in COLD or MAXIMUM 40 0C temperature. Cool tumble dry. Do not bleach.

Fastenings: Easy-fix, generous hook and loop fastening runs down the entire length of each Polar RAPPA©.

Features: Custom-designed leg wraps, with an easily removable, re-useable, Polar ColdPak ™, specifically developed to cool legs after strenuous exercise or injury, and to keep cooler for longer. The ColdPak ™ is filled with a nano-composite powder which remains malleable when frozen, allowing it to be moulded comfortably around the tendon. The ColdPak ™ is neatly slotted into a special pocket within the Polar Rappa© making it efficient and hygienic to use. It stays clean inside the pocket and can be removed easily for re-freezing. The Polar Rappa© is simple to fit, remains flexible and comfortable and cannot be over-tightened in use.

Fitting: NOTE – Polar Rappa's© are left and right handed, the PolyPads® label indicating the top on both wraps. When fitted the hook and loop closure must be on the outside of the leg. Insert ColdPak™ in the centre pocket. Shape the ColdPak™ with the edge of the hand then locate it around the tendon (below back of knee, rear of leg). Wrap loop fastening around front of leg and pull the pointed part of the hook fastening to make fixing on outside of leg. Finally, hold hook fastening out to position and then secure, first top and then bottom. If required, the ColdPak™ can be inserted into the front pocket (nearest hook fastening) to cool bruised shins.
