Rubber Lead Rope/Tie
Wednesday 24th May 2006

A 21st century concept in leads. Made of pure latex they will stretch to over double their length with no difficulty while causing no harm to a horse. Their flexibility obviates the need for untidy baling twine loops on tie rings. For safety the end that has a wall moulded into the rubber should be the one to attach to any ring. In the highly unlikely event of the lead snapping this ensures that it will flex away from the horse.
To obviate accidental release the solid cast brass bull clips at each end are of the positive opening snap closed variety.
The leads come in three lengths with the shortest being 17 (35cm), the medium 28(35cm) and the longest 48(1.22cm). They can be used as:-
a) Chew proof lead ropes with a second convenient clip at one ends so when tying a horse they can clip directly onto the tie ring.
b) Ties as they are totally safe for tie training young stock. They will just stretch until the horse becomes tired and gives in.
c) Cross ties to keep a horse in a single position.
d) Across stable door ways enabling free human access but retaining the horse.
e) Long lead ropes.
(NOTE these are not snap on ties)
